What is mastering and why do I need it?

Mastering is the final polish step that makes your track sound balanced, loud, and professional across all playback systems — speakers, headphones, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Without mastering, your track may sound great in your headphones but fall flat on streaming platforms. We master to industry loudness standards (LUFS) for Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and more.

What's the difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing is the process of blending all your individual tracks — vocals, instruments, drums, 808s — into a cohesive, balanced stereo file. Mastering takes that finished stereo mix and optimizes it for loudness, clarity, and consistency across all playback platforms. Most artists need both for a release-ready song.

How do I send my files after placing an order?

After completing the order form and checkout, you'll receive instructions for file submission. We accept file transfers via Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer — whichever is easiest for you.

What file formats do you accept for mixing and mastering?

We accept WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files. For best results, submit your stems or vocals as 24-bit WAV files at 44.1kHz or higher. If you're not sure how to export stems from your DAW, just contact us and we'll walk you through it.

How many revisions do I get?

Every order includes 3 free revision rounds. If you're not happy with the mix or master after listening back, just tell us what to adjust and we'll revise it. We also offer "unlimited revisions" as an add-on for $40 per song.

Unlimited Revisions (fair use): Unlimited revision rounds on the same song toward the creative direction agreed at the start. Covers balance, levels, effects, and tonal adjustments. Does not cover: new song versions, re-recorded or newly added vocals, changed beats/instrumentals, or a complete change of creative direction — those are billed as a new project.
